After the Art School in Nis, Marija Curk enrolled in painting at the Department of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš and graduated in 2016 in the class of professor Katarina Đorđević. In 2017 she finished master studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, on the painting department, in the class of professor Gordan Nikolić. In 2019, she completed master's studies at the Department of Conservation and Restoration at the Faculty of Applied Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade. In 2019, she enrolled in doctoral studies program at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Belgrade, in the study program of Classroom Teaching Methodology at the Department of Methodology of Teaching Fine Arts. Since June 2020, she has been involved in the work of the Center for Scientific Research in Art - BARTF, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš. From 30.12.2021. In 2022, she started to work as a conservator and restorer in the Gallery of Contemporary Fine Arts in Niš, Serbia.

She had 12 solo exhibitions and over 90 group exhibitions in the country and abroad, won seven awards for achievements in the field of art, participated in painting colonies, and worked on various projects in the field of Art and Preservation of Art Heritage.
